Canberra was established in 1913 as the capital for the newly federated Australian nation.

Canberra was designed by American architects Walter Burley and Marion Mahony Griffin, and built on the shores of an artificial lake, which was named Lake Burley Griffin.
Major National facilities in Canberra, have made it a pretty cool destination for travellers.

No 1 place to visit is the Australian War Memorial, it is awesome the best you will find anywhere in the world, huge tanks, planes,(they have a massive bomber plane indoors), cool interactive stuff for kids and adults, realistic trenches with gunfire and much much more, you will need at least a whole day here to see everything, or even two days.  This place has excellent reviews with major online sites i swear you will not get bored here, and it is a life changing experience and its FREE
